The Cornerstone Principles of My Online Space

·
Main

This article outlines my goals and methods for blogging, which will serve as a guiding framework for all my future content. It’s like a blueprint in my mind, and I will, or at least try my best, to adhere to this main line. There may be deviations at times, and my principles might evolve with age and experience. Overall, I hope this article helps you understand my writing style and supports me in becoming the writer I aspire to be.

  1. Language is Not a Matter.
As you can see, English is not my native language, and I am aware that my usage may not be perfect. Initially, I wanted to create my “cyber-garden,” which is what I call my personal website, entirely in English. This was not only to reach a wider audience but also to practice my English. However, this idea became a stumbling block, always holding me back during the preparation phase. Translating concepts, especially those I learned in Chinese (my native language), into English is quite challenging for a novice writer and blogger.
Therefore, as I say, “Language is not a matter.” I will write articles in the language that best suits the source of my knowledge, and mixed usage will be accepted.

  2. It Will Be Highly Subjective and Logical.
For me, it is crucial to distinguish between a Blog and Documentation. In my style, I will include relevant links at the bottom of my article page, but this does not mean I will provide all related definitions within the text.
    Remember: Blog != Documentation.
There might be content that I want to highlight but did not create. For this purpose, I will use tags and categories attached to the article title.

  3. There Will Always Be Authoritarian Control on My Platform.
This digital realm is under my sovereign rule. While I respect readers’ right to object, and I welcome your polite or even impolite communications via email, I do not and will never have a comment system. My view is that showcasing your ideas could distort readers’ understanding of my perspective. As a totalitarian island, presenting my own ideas will always be my top priority.

  4. I Do Not Resist Using AI in My Blog, As Long As It Is Under My Control.
Banning AI is a hot topic, but here, it might be a common tool. I do not use AI to write my articles or even to create outlines. It will only be used to support functions like translation, error correction, and other technical issues.
ALL CONTENT WILL HAVE PASSED MY REVIEW, SO YOU CAN CONSIDER EVERYTHING HERE AS MY PERSONAL OPINION, AND DO NOT WORRY ABOUT AI INTERVENTION.

  5. I Aim to Make My Website as Minimalist as Possible.
    First-class citizens are words.
    Second-class citizens are links.
    Third-class citizens are images.
    Fourth-class citizens are videos.
    Fifth-class citizens are audio files.
    Sixth-class citizens are files.
I will avoid using a comment system, view analytics, description systems, analysis systems, etc(RSS is not deprecated). I will strive to use words efficiently and concisely to express my viewpoints, avoiding the anxiety over view counts that could affect my content.
